Hacking Invitation Templates
Anne and Jessica scoured Evite and Canva templates - finding card templates for baby showers and wedding showers that could be adapted for Care Shower invitations. We struck upon a laurel-like motif we liked, mainly because Anne had a table cloth that matched! Plus it was green - insinuating that growth is part of the experience of care for both care partners. We aimed to describe the shower in ways that relayed both the playfulness of it (like baby and wedding showers) without ignoring the harder parts of care. Care Showers should be balanced - addressing both joys and challenges, fun and poignancy.
Take Action!
Email the support / help section of Evite (or whatever invitation program you might want to use) and ask them to add “Care Shower” to their options for events.
